ORRIN WILSON, VICTIM OF AN ACCIDENT, DIES
WAS HEAD OF WESTERN AGENCY OF CLINTON BRIDGE WORKS
FELL FROM HORSE AT TOURNEY
Deceased Was 37 Years of Age and Graduate of Andover and Leland Stanford
Intelligence of the accident death of Orrin E. Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Wilson of this city, which occurred last night at San Francisco, was received with deep regret by the hundreds of Clinton friends of the young man.

Mr. Wilson's death followed an accident on a polo ground in Delmonte, Cal. where a tournament was in progress, during which the former Clinton man fell from his horse. George Wilson, Sr. was at Delmonte at the time of his son's accident. He wired home yesterday that his son had fallen from his horse, and was unconscious. The injured man was hurried to San Francisco, where his death occurred at 5 o'clock in the evening, he never having regained consciousness. The remains will be brought to Clinton for interment.

Orrin Wilson was born in Sterling, Ill., 37 years ago. Twenty years ago he came here with his parents, and attended the Clinton High school. Later he graduated from Andover College, Massachusetts, and from the Leland-Stanford University in California.

After completing his education, Mr. Wilson took charge of the western agency of the Clinton Bridge Company at San Francisco, remaining in charge of the agency up to the time of his death. He was unmarried, and is survived by his parents, three brothers, George E. Wilson Jr., Fred Wilson and Frank Wilson, of this city and one sister, Miss Louise Wilson.

Mr. Wilson had won a notable place for himself in the business world of San Francisco, and the untimely termination of his life is a sad blow. The stricken parents, sister and brothers will have the sincerest sympathy of hundreds of friends in Clinton.

The remains of the late Orrin Wilson will reach Clinton on the Overland Limited early Thursday morning.

George E. Wilson Jr. received this information this afternoon in a telephone conversation with his father, who is in San Francisco today. Mr. Wilson said the fatal accident occurred Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock, when two polo ponies ran together. Orrin was thrown to the ground, and concussion of the brain resulted. He was picked up unconscious from the tournament grounds, and never recovered consciousness.

Mr. Wilson will start eastward from San Francisco, with the remains of his son at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon.
