Joseph A. McLoskey of Folletts, a former resident of Clinton, died suddenly while sitting in his chair at home Sunday noon just at dinner time. Mr. McLoskey had been out in the yard and after returning to the house, fell asleep in his big arm chair. He awoke with a start, and fell over on the floor, dying before medical help could reach him. The cause was given as heart trouble.

Mr. McLoskey was 75 years old. He had been in failing health for several years, though was still about the farm and did his work every day. Twenty-six years ago he came with his family to Clinton from Rock Island, where he was born and raised. They lived in Clinton until 20 years ago when they moved to a farm at Foletts.

Mrs. McLoskey,, one son and two daughters survive. They are William F. of Curtis, Washington, Mrs. Mayme Brown of Clinton and Miss Beulah at home. One grand son, George Brown, now a student at Ames also is left.

The funeral will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial at Camanche cemetery.
