William E. (Eddie) Finn, 81, of 2363 Barker Street, died Thursday in Samaritan South.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. thomas Doyle officiating. A prayer service will precede the mass at 10 a.m. in Schultz Funeral Home. visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home, where a 7 p.m. rosary will be recited. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Vernon Johnson, Richard Gilpatrick, Richard Petersen, Jay Schmitt, John DeWitt and Jeff Bousman.

Mr. Finn was born May 8, 1907, in Clinton, to John E. and Eleanor Nina Williams Finn. He married Kathryn Howard, Nov. 15, 1937, in Clinton. She died Oct. 8, 1983.

He was a painter for Clinton Corn Processing Company for 35 years. He was a prize fighter for the Golden Gloves, and professional fighter, using the name Abi Guggenheim. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and 25 year member of the Century Club at Clinton Corn Processing Company.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Grim of Camanche; three sons, William E. Finn, Jr. of Pekin, Ill., James E. (Mike) Finn and Lawrence Finn, both of Clinton; ten grandchildren; on great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Petersen of Rockford, Ill.

He was preceded in death by a son and a grandson.
