page 6Mrs. J. B. Thompson died this morning at 6 o'clock at Mercy hospital where she has been sick for two months.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Sterling May 12, 1854, and has lived in the vicinity of Clinton for 45 years. She leaves her husband, one son, Lyle Thompson, and three brothers, J. H. Dunmore, Clinton; Thomas F. and Benjamin F., Milledgeville, Ill.; two nieces and a nephew also survive and one sister, Mrs. Fred Affolter, of Kodoka, S.D., who was with her at the time of death.
Funeral services will be held at the home of her niece, Mrs. John Cullen, 231 Grand avenue, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

page 6Funeral services for Mrs. J. B. Thompson, who died Wednesday at Mercy hospital, were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of Mrs. John Cullen, 231 Grand avenue. The Rev. Dr. Rogers of the First Baptist church preached the sermon. The pall bearers were members of the Grand Army of the Republic, Mrs. Thompson's father having been a civil war veteran.
Out-of-town relatives in the city to attend the funeral were Thomas Dunmore, Mrs. Tom Ports, Mrs. Will Hacker, William Dunmore, Milledgeville; Lyle Thompson, Alton, Ill., and Mrs. Fred Affolter, Kodaka, S.D.
