page 6SUDDEN DEATH CALLS YOUNG MAN FROM WORK
RAY FERGUSON OF LYONS FALLS DEAD AT NOON
IN CAMANCHE AVENUE YARDS
No witnesses to the Tragedy--Body Found Lifeless by Fellow Employe
Sudden death called Ray Ferguson of Lyons from his work at the car repair shops of the Northwestern railway company just before noon today. His body was found nearly lifeless by his fellow employes a short time after he was stricken with heart trouble, and he died before medical help could reach him.Mr. Ferguson had been sick for a week or more and had just returned to his work at the Camanche avenue repair yards. He was in his usual good spirits this morning, and was engaged in loading lumber into a car when the summons came at 11:45 o'clock.
Albert Damm, another employe who had been working with Ferguson, was called to another part of the yards for a few minutes, and when he returned the young man was lying on the ground unconscious. Dr. F. M. Keefe was called, but Mr. Ferguson had already passed away when the arrived. Death was said by the doctor to have been due to heart failure as the result of Bright's disease.
The body was removed to the Shadduck undertaking parlors in Lyons.
Mr. Ferguson was 32 years old. He was married and lived with his wife and mother at 912 South Twelfth street, Lyons.
He has been a resident of this city since 1914.
