Carl Heyer of Milwaukee, a former Clinton resident, died Sunday at his home in that city. His body was brought to Clinton Monday and taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Nootbaar, 801 Fourth avenue, where a short funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon. Another service was held at the German Lutheran church at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. A. H. Lutz, pastor.

Burial was made in Springdale cemetery beside his wife, who died thirty years ago. The pall bearers were Jerry Work, Nicholas Matthiesen, August Burzlaff, August Fuhrman, William Ebner and William Schacht.

Mr. Heyer was born in Germany 80 years ago. He came to American in 1882, and directly to Clinton, where he engaged for many years in the grocery business. In 1889 he went to Milwaukee to make his home with his son Charles.

Surviving him are four sons and two daughters. They are Mrs. Henry Nootbaar, Clinton, Mrs. Adolph Hinrichs, Davenport, A. J. Heyer, Reynolds, Ill., Max Heyer, Davenport, Otto of Marion, Ind., and Charles of Milwaukee.
