Grand Mound, Ia. July 7--The remains of the late Rasmus Halverson, who died last Friday in a Minneapolis hospital with chronic pulmonary tuberculosis arrived here Tuesday morning and were conveyed by Undertaker J. W. Kelly to the home of his sister, Mrs. John Sampson, west of town.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Norwegian Lutheran church in Olive township, services being conducted by Rev. Numson of Norway, Benton county, with interment in the cemetery nearby.

Deceased was a native of Norway, coming to America at the age of 17, when he entered a law school and followed the profession of lawyer for many years. At the time of his death, he was 62 years of age. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Sampson, near here, and Mrs. O. T. Nygaard of Chicago, also by a number of nieces and nephews. During his numerous visits here he made many friends, who extend sympathy to his surviving relatives.
