The death of Miss Martha Spencer, aged 19 years, occurred last night in a Davenport tuberculosis hospital, where she had been taken yesterday for treatment. She was accompanied to Davenport by her mother and her aunt, Mrs. Thompson, who remained with her until she died.

The remains were brought to this city and taken to her home in the St. Louis House on First street, from which place the funeral will probably be held tomorrow. Burial will be made in Albany.

Miss Martha Spencer who passed away Tuesday afternoon in a Davenport hospital, and was brought here Wednesday, was born in Newton, Ill. Jan. 1, 1897, and came here later with her parents residing here until her death.

Deceased is survived by her mother Mrs. Hannah Spencer, and two sisters, Mrs. Lucretia Owens of this city and Miss Amy Spencer of Round Grove, Ill. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock, with services from the Shadduck chapel and burial will be in the Albany cemetery.
