Chris H. Jepsen passed away at 2:40 o'clock this morning at his home, 709 First avenue, after an illness of three years, due to cancer.

The deceased was born in Schleswig, Germany, in 1865, and came to the United States in 1880. Three years later he came to Clinton, and for sixteen years he was employed as engineer at the electric light plant.

Surviving Mr. Jepsen are his wife, three daughters, Viola, Gladys and Vera Jepsen, a son, Arthur Jepsen, who is in the employ of the ADVERTISER, two brothers, Hans and Andrew Jepsen, of Clinton, and two sisters, Mrs. Albert Wise of this city and Mrs. Charles Pratt of Morehead, Iowa.

Mr. Jepsen was a member of Lincoln Lodge of Odd Fellows, and of the Woodmen. The Odd Fellows will have charge of the funeral services. The deceased was respected by all who knew him, and his death is mourned by many friends throughout the city.

The funeral of the late C. H. Jepsen will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the home. The Odd Fellows will attend in a body.
