Word has been received of the death of John Hannigan of Chicago, a former Clinton man, Mr. Hannigan passed away Tuesday afternoon at his home in Chicago following a four weeks' illness. He was 46 years of age and was born in Anamosa coming to Clinton with his parents when an infant. He lived in Clinton until about fifteen years ago when he moved to Chicago. He leaves to mourn his death three brothers, James, Michael and William, all of Clinton. As far as is known the interment will take place in Chicago.

Funeral services for the late John Hannigan, formerly of Clinton, who died Tuesday afternoon in Chicago, were held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at St. Mary's church, followed by interment in St. Mary's cemetery. The body was brought to Clinton by Mrs. James Hannigan and William Hannigan of Moberly, Mo., and was taken to the James Hannigan home here, pending the services.
