Mrs. John Van Horn passed away at her home near Welton yesterday afternoon from the effects of a stroke of paralysis which she suffered a few days previous. Deceased was born in Jackson, Ohio, May 26, 1836, and came to Welton with her parents when a child. She was united in marriage in August, 1866, to John Van Horn and to them were born four children. U. S. Van Horn and Mrs. Clara Van Horn of Welton, Mrs. Ruth Van Horn of Garwin and Mrs. Elizabeth Knight of Gentry, Ark.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon, the procession leaving the house at 1:30 for the Seventh Day Baptist church in Welton where services will be conducted by a minister from Milton, Wis. following by interment in the church cemetery.
