AUTO ACCIDENT
Aged Father of Clinton Woman is Run Down and Killed.

Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Beers have returned from Atlantic, Iowa, where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Beers father James Martin Keeley who was killed in an automobile accident in Des Moines Wednesday of last week. Mr. Keeley, a man of 71 years of age, was standing at the intersection of two streets in Des Moines when W. M. Law of Oskaloosa, driving an automobile, attempted to turn the opposite corner while going at a high rate of speed. According to witnesses, Mr. Law lost control of his car in some manner so that it skidded across the street and crashed into Mr. Keeley. Mr. Keeley was immediately removed to a hospital where it was found that his leg and hip was broken and that he had suffered internal injuries. Mr. Keeley passed away Thursday.
