Virginia Getty, 11 months old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Getty, died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Mayne, 635 Second avenue. The little child had been in poor health since birth, but was not taken dangerously ill until about four days ago. A physician was called Tuesday and pronounced the patient seriously ill with an attack of acute nephritus and on making a second call Tuesday afternoon the little one was apparently dead, but after spending an hour in an effort to restore life, some signs of life returned and the hands and feet moved, but no heart sounds could be heard.

The pulmoter was rushed to the bedside of the babe, but all efforts to restore breathing proved of no avail. The little one is survived by three sisters, Emma, Vivian and Ferny.

Funeral services will be held Thursday from the home and burial will be in Springdale cemetery.

Many attended the funeral of little Virginia Getty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Getty which was held from the home of Mrs. Mayne on Second avenue yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Interment was made in Springdale cemetery.
