Mrs. Hermine Thompson, wife of Frank E. Thompson, passed away at 7 o'clock Friday evening at her home, 716 Seventh avenue. Mrs. Thompson had been ill for months, but during the past two weeks had been feeling better, and her death, caused by heart failure, came as a shock to her family and friends last night.

The deceased, nee Miss Hermine Goeschel, was born on April 23, 1871, at Siginaw, Mich. She was united in marriage with Mr. Thompson on August 5, 1896, and came to Clinton eleven years ago, living here since. Surviving are her husband, two children, Katherine Louise and Helen May Thompson and two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Schwartz of Saginaw, and Miss Talltha Goeschel of Terre Haute, besides hosts of friends in the city, and in Michigan. Mrs. Thompson's death will be mourned by all who knew her. She was a member of the Congregational Ladies' Aid society of this city.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The funeral, which will be private, will held Monday.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Frank Thompson was held this afternoon from the Seventh avenue home, and was private. Many friends called Sunday afternoon to pay their last respect to the memory of the deceased.
