John Howson, aged 63 years, died suddenly this morning of heart trouble.
Mr. Howson lived two miles east of Low Moore. He had been ailing about a year, suffering from heart trouble, and this morning had gone to a neighbor's residence in the vicinity. Just as he arrived he collapsed, and passed away before medical assistance could be secured.
Coroner Kellogg was notified, and went to the Howson home. After learning the circumstances he decided that an inquest would not be necessary.
Mr. Howson was an old and well known resident of Clinton county having lived on his farm near Low Moor for many years.

The funeral of the late John Howson who passed away suddenly Saturday morning at his home two miles east of Low Moore, was held this afternoon from the farm home.

Low Moor, Iowa, April 11--The announcement of the sudden death of any one comes as a shock to any community, and such was the case when it became known that Mr. John Howson passed away at 7:50 on Saturday morning.
Mr. Howson was a bachelor, and for years he lived on the old homestead with his mother, who passed away in 1901. Since that time he has made his home with his brother, George R. Howson. Since last December Mr. Howson has been in poor health, being afflicted with heart trouble. On Saturday morning he went to his farm, which is across the road from his brother's home, and as he was exchanging the greetings of the morning with Mr. Bleismer, his tenant, death came.
Mr. John Howson was born in Camanche township, Clinton county, Iowa, March 8, 1858, and died April 8th, 1916, aged 58 years and 1 month. He is survived by one brother, George R. Howson, who lives near Low Moor, Ia. and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Atkinson of DeWitt, Ia., and Mrs. Sarah Cousins of Clinton, Ia., besides several cousins and nieces. He has spent his life in this community and is well and favorably known.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of his brother at 1 o'clock on Monday afternoon by Rev. P. N. Dwello, of Low Moor. Interment was made at Rose Hill cemetery at Camanche.
