Mrs. John Thompson of Armstrong, Iowa, passed away at 7:30 o'clock Friday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Martin Nielsen, 145 North Sixth street. Mrs. Thompson had been ill since last Christmas and three months ago was brought to Clinton and taken to Agatha hospital. Three weeks ago she was taken to the home of her sister and Thursday evening became seriously ill. Funeral services are to be held at the residence of Mrs. Thompson's sister, 145 North Sixth street at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. P. Gotke is to officiate at the services and interment will take place in Springdale cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was born in northern Germany in 1868 and when she was 19 years of age came to this country and settle in Clinton. She married in 1898 and moved to Armstrong where she resided until her fatal illness. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, a sister, Mrs. Martin Nielsen and a brother, Peter Ries, of DeWitt.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. John Thompson were held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Thompson's sister, Mrs. Martin Nielsen, 145 North Sixth street. Rev. P. Gotke officiated at the services and interment took place in Springdale cemetery.
