Mrs. John Loof was taken suddenly ill Sunday evening with acute indigestion and died at 10:05 o'clock. Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon at the residence 402 North Third street. Rev. A. H. Lutz is to officiate at the services and interment will take place in Springdale cemetery.
Mrs. Loof, born in Schleswig Germany, was 69 years, 4 months and 26 days old. She came to this country in March 1869 and settled in Clinton and married John Loof February 22, 1870. Mrs. Loof had a great number of friends in Clinton and was beloved by everyone who knew her.
Besides her host of friends, she leaves to mourn her death her husband, two brothers, Henry Frahm of Chicago and George Frahm of Manning and five children, Mrs. F. L. Hixby of Clinton, John Loof jr of Clinton, Mrs. P. H. Jones of Manning, Mrs. E. J. Morse of Los Angeles and H. R. Loof of Davenport.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. John Loof were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence, 402 North Third street. Rev. A. R. Lutz officiated at the services and interment took place in Springdale cemetery. The pall bearers were Martin Peters, Thomas H??gaard, William Volckman sr, J?? Peterson, Mathew Lange and ?? Paysen.
