Little Margaret Schreiner, two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schreiner, died this morning at one o'clock at Mercy hospital as a result of burns sustained Monday afternoon about 4:45 o'clock. Margaret and her sister, Helen, were playing in the house while the mother was on her way to the Sine store, and in some manner unknown to anyone, Margaret's clothes caught fire and the other child ran to the door crying and a moment later Margaret appeared with her clothes ablaze. She was first seen by George Clausen and Henry Sino, who did all in their power to relieve the child while a doctor was being summoned.
Upon the arrival of Dr. Keefe, the child was taken to Mercy hospital, where an examination showed that her entire body was fearfully burned, and little hope was entertained for her recovery. However, all was done that could be but to no avail, and at one o'clock the child succumbed to her injuries.
The bereaved parents, thus deprived of one of their family of two children have the deepest sympathy of their many friends. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the home, 519 Commercial street to St. Irenaeus church and from thence to Calvary cemetery where the remains will be interred.
