This morning at 2:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hendricksen, east of Hauntown, occurred the death of Mrs. Catherine Jacobsen, aged 88 years. Mrs. Jacobsen was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, June 10, 1828, and came to this country about 36 years ago with her husband, and has lived in this vicinity since then.
She has been ailing for the past year or more and her death was due to old age. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hendricksen, with whom she has been making her home, Mrs. H. Petersen of Almont, and Mrs. J. Mirth of Schleswig, Ia.; 29 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the home of Mrs. Hendricksen at Hauntown, and at 12 o'clock from Oakland chapel, and burial will be in Oakland cemetery, with Rev. Lutz officiating.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Catherine Jacobsen will be held Wednesday at 10 o'clock from the home of Mrs. Hendricksen at Hauntown and services will be held at Oakland chapel at 12 o'clock at noon. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery with Rev. Lutz officiating.
A special car will leave Main street at ??? in the cemetery for the benefit of friends of the deceased.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Katherine Jacobsen were held Wednesday morning from the home of her daughter near Hauntown and short services were held at noon in Oakland chapel. Rev. Lutz had charge of the service and during the service Miss Lundy and Miss Shadduck sang several hymns.
The pallbearers were Harry, William, Chris, Charles, Barney and Leonard Henricksen, all grandson of the deceased.
