The word that J. C. Ferree had died suddenly in Clinton yesterday caused universal sorrow in this vicinity where he and his family had lived for a great many years. Chas. Butterfield went to Clinton last evening to be with his sister in her grief. In all probability the remains will be brought to DeWitt for interment in Elmwood cemetery.
