W. O. Carber died last night at ten o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Rice in Low Moor after an illness of about six weeks' duration. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rice and one son Howard Carber, of Meadville, Pa.
Funeral services will be held in the M.E. church in DeWitt at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon with interment in the family lot at Elmwood cemetery.
Mr. Carber was well and favorably known in DeWitt and vicinity where he lived for a great many years; was a great admirer of horses and often conducted racing strains in the various circuits.

Funeral services for the late W. O. Carber were held in the Methodist church this afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. J. Kidder. Appropriate musical selections were given by Mesdames W. A. Gostick and F. W. Mitchell and Miss Helen Large. Interment was made in Elwood. The service was largely attended.

The remains of the late W. O. Carber were brought to DeWitt yesterday from Low Moor and were taken to the Methodist church where funeral services were conducted by the M.E. pastor, Reverend J. J. Kidder. Mesdames F. W. Mitchell, William Gostick and Miss Helen Large furnished music and Elmore Saltmarsh, Heinie Carsten and four Carber brothers, Verne, Elmer, W. C. and Harry, nephews of the deceased acted as pall bearers. Interment was made in Elmwood cemetery.
Low Moor, Ia. May 5 --After a short prayer service at the home Thursday afternoon the remains of W. O. Carber, who passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. W. Rice, on Tuesday night, were conveyed to DeWitt, where the funeral services were held in the Methodist church. Interment in Elmwood cemetery.
