MRS. HOSEA LORD IS CALLED BY DEATH
AGED RESIDENT ANSWERS FINAL SUMMONS THURSDAY MORNING AT 3:30 O'CLOCK.
FUNERAL SATURDAY
Will be Held at Lord Home, 620 South Fifth Street -- Interment in Oakland -- Deceased Had Lived Here Nearly Half Century.The death of Mrs. Hosea Lord, aged 76 years, 4 months and 14 days, occurred at 3:30 o'clock Thursday morning at her home, 620 South Fifth street. The deceased had been failing for some time and the end was not entirely unexpected.
Elizabeth Ann Lord was born on April 27, 1837, in New Hampshire. Later she moved to Boston from which place she came to this city with her husband in 1865, remaining a resident for nearly a half century.
She is survived by her husband and by two daughters, Mrs. Fred Hastings and Mrs. E. B. Hoxsie, and one son, Charles Lord, all of Lyons.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home in South Fifth street, with interment following in Oakland cemetery.The Clinton Herald, Sept. 15, 1913

Many Pay Last Repects to the Late Mrs. Hosea Lord who Passed Away Last Thursday.The funeral of the late Mrs. Hosea Lord took place at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. B. Hoxsie in South Fifth street. Rev. N. A. McAulay of the Presbyterian church officiated at the services. Two appropriate vocal solos were rendered by Miss Gladys Shadduck during the services. Interment was at Oakland cemetery. The following friends of the deceased acted as pall-bearers: Hans Andersen, Albert Jameyson, John Sino, John Krebs, A. W. Dahl and Henry Kisting.
