Patrick A. Scanlan passed away at 6:35 last evening at his home, 615 Tenth avenue, after an illness of three week's duration.
The deceased was born in Ireland and moved to this country when a young lad. He was united in marriage to Miss Anna Gaffney in Clinton, and has lived in his city for the past 48 years, and had been in the employ of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway company since his arrival here. He is survived by his wife, one brother, Edward of Montana; two sons, Frank and James, of this city, five daughters, Misses Anna, Margaret, Ilene, Mrs. P. J. O'Donnell and Mrs. James McAuliff all of this city. The deceased was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and the I.B.B. & H.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at nine o'clock at St. Mary's church. Very Rev. E. J. McLaughlin will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Friends will please omit flowers.
