Michael Flynn, a former resident of this vicinity, died yesterday morning at his home in Huron, South Dakota. Word to this effect was received in a message to friends here. The body is expected Friday morning and after services at St. Joseph's church will be interred in the Catholic cemetery.

4 February 1916 - The Clinton Advertiser

The remains of Michael Flynn, an old time resident of DeWitt, arrived here this morning for burial. The funeral was held at 9 o'clock in St. Joseph's church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Nelson, and interment was made in St. Joseph's cemetery. Deceased was 52 years of age, and had been a resident of South Dakota the past 20 years. The only surviving relative is a sister, who accompanied the body to DeWitt.
