Stephen D. Haller passed away at the Agatha hospital at 9:25 last evening, after an illness of three weeks' duration.

The deceased was ill at his home for two weeks and was taken to the hospital about ten days ago and operated on. He failed slowly after the operation.

He was born in Clinton January 6th, 1872, and lived here all his life. He was united in marriage to Miss Anna G. Dyer in Clinton in August, 1900. Two children were born to this union, Frank and Elbert, who survive. He is survived by his wife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Haller of this city, and one brother, Frank Haller of Yonkers, N.Y.

He was a charter member of America Lodge I.O.O.F.; Horse Shoe camp, Modern Woodmen of America, the International Machinists, Lieut. Michelsen post, Spanish War Veterans, and a member of Co. L. 49th Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at the late home, 606 Sixth avenue, Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Services will be held at the Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Nye, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate. America lodge, I.O.O.F., will have charge of the services at the grave. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery.
