Mrs. Marcia A. Ryder, mother of Dr. W. Burns Ryder and for nearly sixty years a resident of Clinton and vicinity, is dead at Long Beach, Cal.

Friends of the Burns family received intelligence of the aged woman's death this morning, and were informed that the remains are to be brought to Clinton, in charge of her son, Dr. Burns Ryder, reaching here next Sunday. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.

The death of Mrs. Ryder took place at 5 o'clock Wednesday evening. She left Clinton with her son December 17th for California, and until about two weeks ago had enjoyed fairly good health in the western state, although she had been ailing for years. She was 8? years of age.

Surviving the deceased are three sons, Dr. Ryder, formerly of Clinton, and C. A. and E. S. Ryder, and two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Duncan and Miss Flora Ryder.

Mrs. Ryder was a member of the First Congregational church.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Marcia Ryder of this city, who died at Long Beach, California last Wednesday, will be held here next Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 following the arrival of the body on the morning of the same day.

The services will be in charge of Reverend Cady and will be held at the home of Mrs. Ryder's son, E. S. Ryder on the Elvira road.

Burial will be made in Springdale cemetery.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Marcia Ryder, who passed away at Long Beach, California, will be held at the home of her son E. S. Ryder, on Elvira road, tomorrow afternoon. Rev. G. R. Cady, pastor of the Congregational church, will officiate. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery.
