24 January 1916 - The Clinton Advertiser

John C. Anthony passed away at 7:45 o'clock yesterday at his home on Sixth avenue.

The deceased was born May 5th, 1855, in Galena, Ill. He moved to this city when a small child and resided in the city until the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Miss Altana Baker in this city in 1880. She passed away January 4th, 1912.

Those left to mourn him are two daughters, Miss Viola and Mrs. William Sanders, both of this city; one brother, George Vickerstaff, of this city and one sister, Mrs. H. C. Molterdorf of Chicago.

Funeral services will be held at the late home, 629 Sixth avenue, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Wilmot, of Chicago, will officiate. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery.

The funeral services for the late John C. Anthony will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late home on Sixth avenue.

Rev. J. F. Ireland, of Minneapolis, will officiate. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery.
