NIXON, SEEBER, ROTHWELL

At 12:15 noon Saturday occurred the death of John G. Nixon at his home 206 Maple avenue. Mr. Nixon is one of the old residents of the city and was widely known. He was about 70 years of age at the time of his death, and has made Clinton his home for about 50 years. He has been troubled for over a year with paralysis and has been confined to his bed for the past four months. The end came as a relief as he suffered a great deal of pain.
Deceased was born in Bremen, Ohio. He leaves besides his wife, six children: two daughters, Mrs. Seeber of Chicago and Mrs. Rothwell of Rock Island and four sons; Rufus and Herbert of this city; George of Davenport, and Henry of Rock Island. Mr. Nixon was a teamster in the city for years.
The funeral will be held from the residence Monday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Fowler will conduct the services.
