We are pained to write of the death of Mrs. Barnhart who died at the home of her son Si Barnhart, at Ida Grove, Ia., on Thursday evening, March 7, of pneumonia. She left here hale and hearty to visit her son and daughter in Ida Grove. The remains were brought here for burial. The funeral services were preached by Rev. Kipple of Lowden, on Monday and the remains taken to Massillon and laid beside her husband who preceded her a little over a year on the journey beyond this vail of tears. Mrs. Barnhart was an old settler here, a good Christian woman, a good mother and a good neighbor, loved and respected by all. She leaves the following children besides several grand children: Mrs. A. Shaw, of Kansas; Mr. Si Barnhart and Mrs. Cubbage, of Ida Grove; Blake B. Barnhart, of Lowden; and Jas. of Toronto. Mrs. Parker of Colona, Ill., was also present at the funeral. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
