The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Pape Funeral Home for David Dean Munson, 21, of Thomson, who died Sunday as a result of a boating accident on the Mississippi River near Savanna, IL.

The Rev. Alfred Schneck of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today in Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Alan Bliss, Alan Aude, Kelly VanZuiden, Dennis Woods, Jim McClukie, Michael Henfrey and Larry Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley Johnson, Jeffrey Dickinson and Michael and Troy Phillips.

Mr. Munson was born February 14, 1967, in Clinton, to Gary and Kay Fromang-Munson. He was baptized in the Methodist faith and attended East Central schools and was a 1985 graduate of Thomson High School.

Survivors include his parents; a sister, Kaylyn "Lyn" Renee Munson, of Boone, Iowa; a brother, Gary Steven Jr. at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Fromang and Marion H. Munson, all of Clinton; and five cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather and a grandmother.
