PETER RIEF.
Funeral services over the remains of the late Peter Rief occurred from the residence, 235 Thirteenth avenue, at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Owing to the fact that deceased had died of a melignant form of scarlet fever a public funeral was not permitted by the health authorities. Only the immediate members of the family were present at the service, but a long line of carriages followed the remains to their last resting place in Springdale.
