The Last Sleep.
At an early hour Sunday morning Captain Joseph T. Foster, one of Lyons' oldest and most respected citizens, breathed his last. It was not known until Saturday that he was sick, and his death following so close after the first news, was a shock to his many friends. His wife and daughter who are in California, were informed by telegraph of the sad news, and wired back that they had started for home. They will reach here Thursday or Friday and the funeral arrangements will not be made known until then. Capt. Foster was well known in real estate and insurance circles and was respected and liked by all. He was a member of the First Iowa volunteer calvary and the eighth regiment of United States regulars, and at the time of his death was 54 years old.
