LORRAINE ELIZABETH HUGGINS, 95, of Bickford Cottage in Clinton, IA, formerly of Albany, IL, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at Mercy Living Center North in Clinton.

The funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Community Reformed Church 747 N. 12th Street in Clinton, IA, preceded by visitation from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Co-officiating will be Rev. Bob Hoffman, pastor of Community Reformed Church and Ken Renkes. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Following the funeral luncheon, the graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. at Oakridge Cemetery in Albany, IL.

Lorraine was born May 5, 1922, in Clinton, IA, to John and Anna Elizabeth (Sorenson) Vogel. She was educated in the Fulton and rural Whiteside County grade schools. Lorraine married Harold H. Bud Huggins on February 14, 1946, in Fulton, IL. He died June 24, 2009. Lorraine was employed at the former Fulton Gambles Store. Along with her late husband, Bud, and his parents, she co-owned and operated Huggins Grocery Store in Albany. Later, she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Sharers Elevator in Albany for 21 years. She was also a homemaker and mother. Lorraine was a charter member of the former Trinity Reformed Church in Fulton and a current member of the Community Reformed Church. Following retirement, Lorraine enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Arizona. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with friends and family. Memorials have been established to Community Reformed Church and the American Heart Association.

Survivors include one daughter, Marlene (Everett) Stone of Clinton, IA; two sons, Duane (Barb) Huggins and Kevin Huggins both of Albany, IL; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bud.
