Pieczynski Mass is Monday
Camanche -- Joseph A. Pieczynski Jr., 82, of Camanche, died Thursday at Mercy North Hospital, Clinton.

A Memorial Mass will be noon Monday at Church of the Visitation in Camanche. A Celebration of Life will be noon Sunday at Joe's Tavern, 2501 Camanche Ave. in Clinton.

His body has been cremated. Burial will be at a later date. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zorning-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Feb. 8, 1923, to Joseph and Magdaline Zurek Pieczynski Sr. He married Bernadine P. Milder in Clinton.

He was a 1941 graduate of Clinton High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, from 1943 to 1946.

He owned and operated Joe's Tavern in Clinton for more than 40 years.

He was a member of the Church of the Visitation and the Camanche V.F.W.

He is survived by one son, Dominic Pieczynski of Camanche; two daughters, Gina Sullivan, of Clinton, and Vickie Graham, of Reston, Va.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
