Carol R. Kair, 76, of Clinton, passed away, May 24, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Davis, Brandon Kair, AJ Enos, Jeff Wilke, Jim Kair, and DuWayne Ottens. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Carol Rae Kair was born on Christmas Day 1940 in Clinton, the daughter of Fred and Dorothy (Mohr) Anderson. She was a 1959 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Dennis Kair on April 15, 1962 in Clinton.
Carol was a secretary at Clinton Corn in the purchasing department, a home typist for Nielsens, and her most important job was the Kair family financial secretary.
Carol was a 55 year member of First Congregational Church where she served as the financial secretary for many years, active in the Horace Mann PTA, was a Girl Scout Cookie mom, served on the board and booster club of the Nee-Hi Drum and Bugle Corps, active in the CHS Band Boosters, served many years as the secretary of the bowling league, served on the board of directors of the Clinton Womens Bowling Association, and active in Moose Bingo. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Iowa State Cyclone fan, and enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.
Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years; Dennis of Clinton; three children: David (Diane) Kair of Des Moines, Iowa, Laura Davis of Clinton, Michael (Brea) Kair of Cedar Rapids, three grandchildren: Amy Enos, Steven Davis, and Brandon Kair; and her sister: Gerri (Highland) Nichols of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
