Funeral services for Michael Thomas Dunlavey, 82, 213 19th avenue North who died Friday noon at Mercy Hospital following a lingering illness, will be held Monday morning with a 9 o'clock requiem high mass in St. Irenaeus Catholic church , with the Rev. Robert Welch, nephew of the deceased from St. Ambrose college, Davenport, officiating. Burial will be in Assumption cemetery in Charlotte. The body will repose in the Delaney Funeral home until Sunday noon, when it will be removed to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herbert Hagge, 213 Nineteenth avenue North, where the Knights of Columbus will say the rosary at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was born May 16, 1860 in Clinton county and had resided since in the vicinity of Goose Lake and Charlotte. He was a charter member of the DeWitt Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by one brother, P.G. Dunlavey, DeWitt; four daughters, Sister Mary Grace, West Burlington, Mrs. Herbert Hagge, Mrs. Arthur McGraw and Miss Nan Dunlavey, all of Clinton; one son, Michael J. Dunlavey of Goose Lake; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
