Paul Rink R. Renkes, 61, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of his life will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, at Lemke Funeral Homes South Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Paul was born April 19, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Robert and Phyllis (Jones) Renkes. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. Paul was united in marriage to Kathi Watters on April 17, 1999 in Clinton, Iowa.
Paul began his career, working for many years, at International Paper. He then worked for ADM Construction on the Civil Crew.
Paul loved the outdoors especially, fishing, camping and really loved golfing. He was a very loyal New England Patriots football fan. Paul also loved his fur babies, his two dogs Camo and Axel. Paul was a hard worker and loved working in construction. Above all he loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Paul is survived by his wife Kathi of Clinton; two children Nathan Olson of Grand Mound, IA and Amber Olson of Clinton; three granddaughters and three grandsons; one sister and many friends.
Preceding Paul in death were his grandmother, his parents and several close friends.
