Dorcas A. Dellit, 86, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Mercy Living Center South.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Evangelical Free Church. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00-7:0pm at the Evangelical Free Church. Dorcas Ann Hagler was born on October 1, 1930 in Plainwell, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Finch) Hagler. She was a graduate of Fulton High School. She was a homemaker.
Dorcas was married to Roy Pearson before he died in 1968. She later married Ray Dellit on December 27, 1968.
Dorcas was a member of the Evangelical Free Church where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed going to bible studies. She enjoyed knitting, painting, writing poetry, and traveling to 46 states. She enjoyed being with family especially her grandchildren.
Dorcas is survived by her husband: Ray of Clinton; her children: Mary Jo Hunter of Sterling, James Britt, Jr., of Rockford, Michael (Ann) Britt of Morrison, John Britt of Morrison, Sharlene (Jerry) Kiuper of Wisconsin, Cheryl Ann (Mike) Mattera of Oregon, Gary Dellit of Fairfield, Iowa, and Dawn Cartee of Springfield, Vermont; her step-children: Cindy (Steve) Kelly of Camanche, Terry (Pam) Dellit of Clinton; 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; her sister: Charlene Berg of Mesa, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Dorcas Colschen, step-daughter: Raeann Wesa, a son-in-law: Don Hunter, and a great grandson Nathan Britt.
Memorials can be made to the Evangelical Free Church or Mercy Hospice.
