Charles L. Howes age 90 of Fulton, IL, passed away Thursday March 30, 2017 at Mercy North Medical Center, Clinton. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be held Wednesday Noon until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery, Clinton. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Charles was born on July 7, 1926 in DeWitt, IA, the son of Clyde and Margaret Howes. He graduated from Clinton High School. He married Hallie Dusenberry on Oct. 19, 1946 in Muscatine, IA; she died in 2014. He worked at General Electric as a set-up man in the plastic molding department for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and watching the eagles at the lock-n-dam.

Charles is survived by his two sons, David and Douglas Howes of Fulton, IL; a grandson, Phillip (Toni) Howes of Camanche; two great grandchildren, Catarina and Charlie; and two sisters, Judy Libberton of Clinton and Joyce (Dave) Lutz of Rapid City, IL.
