Reverend Curtis E. White, 73, of Clinton, Iowa departed this life Saturday, March 25, 2017, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1st at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 819 South 5th Street, Clinton, Iowa. The visitation will be held one hour preceding the funeral at 10:00 a.m. Friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon following the services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to River City Food Banks or Lutheran World Relief. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com. Curtis, son of the late Charles White and Grace Kraebber was born February 20th, 1944 in Chicago, IL. He attended public schools of Chicago before later moving to Denver then attending schools of Denver Colorado and was a graduate of the University of Colorado. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ and attended the Lutheran School of Theology of Chicago graduating in 1973 with a Master's Degree and later furthering his studies for Chaplaincy.
Curtis was united in holy matrimony to Jacqueline White (Gardner) on January 5th, 2002.
Curtis worked as a Chaplain for Moline Lutheran Hospital and Faith Lutheran Church of Moline. Curtis enjoyed learning and research. Throughout his life he continued to take classes including foreign studies and medicine. Curtis had a great love for Classical music, his pets, travel, gardening, reading and researching his ancestry. In his later years he finally fulfilled his dream to travel to Hawaii, Alaska and the Galapagos Islands with his adoring wife.
Rev. White is lovingly remembered by his wife Jacqueline White; Son Aaron White; Daughter Heather White; Brothers Clinton (Susan) White and Charles White; Sister Alice (Larry) Straker; Granddaughters Sierra White and Peyton Stromberg and other relatives.
