Steven J. "Coxy" Cox, age 60, of Clinton died Monday, March 6, 2017 at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Pape Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 P.M. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.

Steve was born in Clinton on December 28, 1956, the son of Joseph and Verda (Kubert) Cox. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1975. Steve married Becky Weburg in Prophetstown, IL in 1985. He later married Linda King on December 9, 2005 in Clinton. Linda passed away on December 6, 2015. Steve was employed with ESB at Ralston Purina. He was a member of the Eagles Club. Steve was a fan of the Chicago Cub's and Bear's and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He enjoyed socializing with his many friends.

Steve is survived by five sisters; Deb (Glenn) Plummer of Camanche, Holly (Dave) Cale of Clinton, Wendy (Larry) Hoertz of Savanna, Laurie (Randy) Pierce of Altoona, IA and Karla (Bryon) Sheker of Clinton; a brother, Terry Cox of Clinton and many nieces and nephews.
