Violet M. Reimer, age 87, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Mercy Living Center North. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Violet was born in Sabula, Iowa on December 28, 1929, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Jess) Huebner. She married Melvin Reimer on March 1, 1953 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clinton. Melvin passed away on July 1, 2011. Violet had been employed at Sears and later with J.C. Penney. She enjoyed reading Danielle Steel books, gardening, watching the birds in her yard, collecting owls and following the Iowa Hawkeyes. Most of all she loved her family dearly.

Violet is survived by a son, Marlin (Carol) Reimer of Brownsburg, IN; a daughter, Vicky (Dennis) Kroymann of Miles; five grandchildren, Mark (Shari) Reimer of Flower Mound, TX, Sara (John) Diekelmann of Des Moines, Rebecca Kroymann of Clinton, Stephanie (Jason) Jacobsen of Riverside, IA and Jessica (Sahand Faghihi) Kroymann of Fishers, IN; three great grandsons, Brilan and Bakstin Reimer, Logan Jacobsen, with baby Diekelmann on the way.
