Henry Gode is dead. On Sunday evening, without warning, the – came, the direct cause of death being a stroke of apoplexy. For years there has hardly been seen a more familiar face on our streets than that of Henry Gode. He was very successful in business, and had accumulated a competency which he was enjoying in his retirement from business, when the end came. Everybody who knew Henry Gode, seemed to know him intimately and it always pleased him to be - - by his last name. He leaves to mourn his death his widow and eight children. The funeral took place from the residence on Fourth Street, near Fo—Avenue, on Thursday afternoon and was largely attended.
