WITH THE SILENT MAJORITY

On Sunday afternoon, after a brief illness with malarial fever and other complications, Mr. Gabriel N. Heckerman died at the age of forty-six years, leaving to mourn his loss a wife, two daughters and two sons, and a large circle of friends and acquaintances . Mr. Heckerman came to this city in 1880, and was employed for some years as fireman at the Clinton’s Lumber Co.’s. Mill. He took quite a prominent part in matters of interest to workingmen, and he had the confidence of those who employ labor. He was a good citizen, a kind husband and loving father. The funeral took place on Tuesday with services at the Methodist Church. Conducted by the Rev. S. C. Bronson. The remains were laid away in Springdale Cemetery.
