From the Daily Capital Journal (Salem, Oregon), Monday, March 10, 1902, page 2:

"Funeral of Mrs Cunningham

The funeral of Mrs. Bruce Cunningham was held at Liberty on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Wm. Coney of St. Paul's and Rev. H. C. Ketchum of the First Presbyterian church. The services were held at the family home and the interment was in the City View cemetery.

A large number of friends of the deceased attended the funeral, and the floral tributes presented were beautiful and numerous.

Mrs. Cunningham had a large circle of devoted friends at Liberty and wherever she was known, and all felt her death to be a great personal loss.

Eva Rosina Gabriel was born at Lyons, Iowa, on April 22, 1868, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Gabriel. She has but one brother, Ennis Gabriel of Cloverdale, California, who with his wife has been in this city several days. Her parents now reside at Aurelia, Iowa.

She was married to Mr. Bruce Cunningham at Lyons, Iowa, on January 17, 1900, and came in the same year to Salem, Oregon. She died at Liberty on Friday night, March 7, 1902, from blood poisoning.

The only child of Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham died only two weeks ago, aged but two months."
