Thomas R. Woodard Sr. 75, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, December 12, 2016 at his home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Lott officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00pm at the church. Following the services the body will be cremated. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Woodard Jr., Willis Woodard, Christopher Tidwell, Bobby Niebuhr, Thomas Woodard III, Maximilian Folk, Brian Brown, James Adams, Adam Adams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Brown, Tristen Henningsen, Wesley Hawkins, Blake Brown, Brayton Niebuhr and TeddyBear. Thomas Ray Woodard was born on September 8, 1941 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Walter and Ruth (Knight) Woodard. He was a 1959 graduate of Ottumwa High School. He married Lucille "Lucy" Preston on December 1, 1961 in Clinton, Iowa.
He was employed with Rock Ten for over 48 years retiring in 2006. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. He enjoyed watching old movies including Westerns, playing video games, starting with the original Nintendo, woodworking, and playing and singing with his guitar.
He is survived by his wife: Lucille "Lucy" Woodard of Clinton; his children: Thomas Woodard Jr., of Winterhaven, Florida, Jane (Chris) Tidwell of Salina, Oklahoma, Sally Niebuhr of Clinton, Iowa, and Willis (Stacia) Woodard of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, his sister: Ellen Schneider of Sandsprings, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a brother in law, three nieces and a nephew.
Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church. Or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
