Geraldine L. Remrey age 87 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday Dec. 21, 2016 at her granddaughter's home in Clinton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday Dec. 27th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday 9:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren. Geraldine was born on Oct. 9, 1929 in Wood River, IL, the daughter of Guy and Esther (Barrett) Mayer. She married Ronald Remrey on Sept. 25, 1956 in Clinton; he died in 1988. She worked in assembly and set-up at General Electric in Morrison, IL. She was a member of the Lyons Methodist Church, Clinton. She enjoyed babysitting children and homemaking.

Geraldine is survived by her three children, Jaci Remrey of Cocoa Beach, FL, Gwen (John) Frye of Clinton, and Debbie (Kendall) Strehle of Clinton; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and four great-great children; and two brothers, Joe and James Mayer. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, two grandchildren, three sisters, and three brothers.
