Mary F. Knight age 79 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday Nov. 29, 2016 at Trinity Unity Point Health in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday Dec. 3rd at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be held Saturday 1 - 4 PM at the funeral home. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery, Clinton. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com. Mary was born on Feb. 12, 1937 in Cairo, IL, the daughter of Hiram and Katherine Ethridge. She married Gene Knight on April 25, 1954 in Cairo, IL; he died in 1997. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s school and sporting events. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. Mary is survived by her five children, Mike Knight of Camanche, Deb (Larry) Sass of Bettendorf, Jeff Knight of Crystal Lake, IL, Steve Knight of Urbandale, IA, and Dan (Bridget) Knight of Bettendorf; 11 grandchildren, Aaron, Katie, Drew, Ryan, Kelly, Evan, Colby, MacKenzie, Lauren, Lisa, and Jake; two great grandchildren; and two brothers, Jimmy Ethridge of Cadiz, KY and Ronnie Ethridge of Cairo, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
