Mrs. Dorthy L. "Dot" Lichtenstein, 89, of Grand Mound, Iowa, died Friday morning, November 11, 2016, at Trinity Medical Center, Bettendorf.

Mrs. Lichtenstein, the former Dorthy Lea Kallenbach was born March 17, 1927, at rural Grand Mound to Alfred and Martha Kallenbach. She was a graduate of Clinton High School. On August 27, 1944, Dorthy married Jack H. Lichtenstein in Clinton. The couple resided in Grand Mound where they raised their family. She was employed by Lichtenstein Clothing Store in Grand Mound and the Grand Mound Locker. Her husband preceded her in death September 12, 1999.

The joy of her life was her family and she enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling with her husband and trips to Shell Lake, Wisconsin, with family. Dot was an avid Cubs fan, "her boy" being Kris Bryant and she enjoyed watching them win the World Series this year.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Al and Jane Lichtenstein of Grand Mound; her grandchildren, Paul (Erin) Lichtenstein, Kara (Dave) Hoffa, Paula (Todd) Rogers, Kelli (Jeremy) Trask and Toby (Louise) Ringen; her great-grandchildren, Elle, Ava and Jorja Lichtenstein, Lauren and Zachary Hoffa, Jacob Rogers, Kendell and Braden Trask; her daughter-in-law, Lana Lichtenstein of Ankeny; her brother, Bud Kallenbach of Port Clinton, Ohio; her brother-in-law, Dave O'Connor of Branson, Missouri; nieces and nephews and her beloved grand puppy, Lola.

Preceding Dorthy in death in addition to her husband were her parents, a son, Dean and sisters, Velda Kroger, Delores (Gordon) Elleson, Vivian (Toby) Cargil and Arlene O'Connor.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound with Pastor Denise Anderberg officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Mound.
