Scarlett Rose McAlpine, 13 months old, passed away, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa, City, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time Tuesday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.

Scarlett Rose McAlpine was born on September 3, 2015 in Iowa City, the daughter of Vince and Stephanie (Luett) McAlpine.

Scarlett Rose is survived by her parents: Vince and Stephanie of Iowa City, Iowa; maternal grandparents: Jason and Marcy Luett of Clinton; paternal grandparents: Brian and Jenny McAlpine of Clinton; maternal great-grandparents: Steve and Fran Luett of Clinton, Sylvia and Jorge Silva of Clinton, and Vernon and Jeannie Schaver of Fulton, Illinois; paternal great-grandparents: Bruce and Randa McAlpine of Clinton, and Paula Doyle of Chapel Hill, Tennessee; maternal great-great grandmother: Claudia VanMaanen of Clinton; her aunt: Samm Luett of Clinton; her uncle: Jake Luett of Clinton; and her cousin and best friend: Paislee. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather: Bill Doyle.

Memorials can be made to the Cure SMA Foundation.
